Squarespace Version

Nouvo Creative templates are designed for Squarespace 7.1 websites only. I am unable to install the template on previous Squarespace versions, such as 7.0 or earlier.

What you will receive

A purchase of a Squarespace website template includes your chosen template, delivered only once. Each template purchase also includes:

• A built in blog

• A coming soon page

• A basic shop/products or services page

• A linktree for your social media pages

• A test page so you can play around without breaking anything

• Email sign up forms

• Tutorials and resources including a Template Setup course that shows you around your new website and guides you through adding your content and customising it

• 60 days free email supportWhen you purchase a Nouvo Creative template, you will receive a template, as it appears in the demo on the template sales page, designed and intended for DIY customisation

• 6 month free trial (new websites only)

Demo content

The content provided on the template is strictly for demonstration purposes only, and it is your responsibility to replace the demo content with your own branding, text, images, and other elements to the template pages.

The stock images provided are not included as part of the template purchase, and they remain the copyright of the original photographer. However, links to the stock images used in the template will be provided so that you can download and use them for yourself. It is your responsibility to check the licencing for these stock images to ensure that you are complying with the corret licencing terms, and I bear no responisibility or liability for any issues arising from you using any of the images supplied in the template.

Installation

New website - if you have the template transferred as a new website, installation is included in the cost of the template.

Existing website - if you need your template installed on an existing website, installation will cost $50 USD.

Once the template has been transferred or installed, you cannot change the installation type, and you will need to purchase another template and select the correct installation type.

I reserve the right to decline or cancel any installation at any time. In the event of an installation order being cancelled, Nouve Creative will refund the full amount of the Install service, though I cannot refund for the Squarespace Template purchased in conjunction with this order.

Email invitation

In order to install the template, you will receive an email invitation to become a contributor on the website. If you don’t have a Squarespace account already, you’ll be prompted to create one. You’ll need to accept the invitation and create an account in order for the template to be delivered to you.

If for any reason you have not received the email invitation after 24 hours of purchasing the template, please contact me by email to request a new email invitation to be sent.

If you have not accepted the email invitation and have not requested a new one within 30 days of purchase, I will consider the design delivered and the transaction will be complete.

If you do not accept the invitation within 6 months, you’ll need to re-purchase the template.

Installation does not include:

• Customisation of any sort

• Revisions or Refinements

• Adding your content

• Search Engine Optimisation

• Social Media Connection

• Migration of Any Kind (content, domains etc.)

• Domain Connection

• Integrations of any sort

• Graphic design services

• Copywriting or content creation

• E-commerce setup or configuration

• Payment gateway setup or configuration

• Email marketing setup or configuration

• Custom coding or development beyond the scope of the template

• Ongoing website maintenance or support

• More than 60 days of email support

Installation timeline

I will always endeavour to have the email invitation to your website template sent to you within 24 hours of purchase (Monday to Friday only), but it may take longer due to unforseen circumstances, and 24 hours is not guaranteed. This timeframe does not include weekends or Australian public holidays.

If for some reason it is expected to take longer, I will let you know.

If you have not received the invitation after 24 hours, please contact me.

Copyright

Nouvo Creative owns the copyright to the template, designs and all files included with your template (excluding photos, which remain the copyright of the photographer).

You may not share the template design or any design materials provided within your purchase with anyone else.

Templates (and any materials provided with your purchase) cannot be resold, shared, duplicated, or claimed as your own in any way.

Nouvo Creative reserves the right to use your customised template/completed website on my website, in promotional materials, and on social media or other platforms, for demonstration and marketing purposes.

Responsibility for Template

Once the template has been installed, the transaction is considered complete and delivery fulfilled. I bear no further responsibility for the template and it is your responsibility to customise yor template and maintain your website.

Squarespace trial

You will receive 6 months free trial with your template purchase. You are responsible for upgrading your trial site with Squarespace within your trial period.

If you let your trial expire, you will lose access to your template. You can contact Squarespace for an extension, or purchase a hosting plan, to continue accessing your template.

If your template expires and the trial is unable to be extended, or if the template is deleted by Squarespace, you will need to purchase another template.

Costs

You are responsible for all costs related to your Squarespace account and website maintenance, including but not limited to, your domain, website hosting, email accounts, and any other services provided by Squarespace or 3rd party apps or software connected to your website.

Support

When you purchase a Nouvo Creative website template, you will receive 60 days of template-related email support from the date of installation.

Support is provided via email, and I aim to respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday), though this time frame may be longer.

The scope of the support covers assistance related to the customisation of the layout and design elements included in the template itself, the install/build, the downloads, the provided files + any problems that might arise with these.

Any assitance required after 60 days, and outside of the scope of support, will be at an additional cost.

Please note that I am not responsible for any issues related to the functionality of your website or the Squarespace platform.

Support does not include issues related to:

• Squarespace advice/problems

• Coding

• Template modifications

• Software problems

• Hosting, domains and email

• Design advice

• Reversing accidental changes

• Setting up or connecting Squarespace or 3rd party features, apps or systems not part of the template

• Reinstalling a template - for example if your template has been deleted, or resending the template for any reason - if you want a template reinstalled or re-sent, you’ll need to purchase it again

Squarespace Updates

Squarespace sometimes makes change or updates to their platform. I am not liable for any issues that may arise from these updates, or responsible for any maintenance that may be required to your site as a result of these changes and updates.

20% off annual website hosting

If you purchase a template as a new install, you will be entitled to 20% off any new annual Squarespace hosting plan, for the first year.

License

By purchasing a Squarespace website template from Nouvo Creative, you are granted one limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, single-seat license to the template.

Each template purchase can only be used for one website, so if you you need to install a template more than once, it must be purchased for instance that you use it.

You may not share, resell or duplicate the template in whole or in part for any readon.

You may not use, modify, or represent the templates as being created by you.

You may not create any competing works or offerings based on information contained in your template or materials provided as part of your purchase.

Unauthorised Use

I reserve the right to prosecute any unauthorised use of my templates and materials.

Commercial Use

You may use Nouvo Creative templates for commercial use, however, you cannot claim the templates or any of the materials provided as part of the purchase as your own work. Credit must be given to Nouvo Creative.

You can only use each template purchase once. If you want to use the same template for multiple clients, you must purchase a template for each client/use.

Template requirements

You will need the following to use your template:

• A Squarespace account and Squarespace website hosting, with a minimum business plan. The type of hosting required will be noted in the template sales page.

• A Canva account to edit your graphics. There is a free version, but some features, such as saving PNG files, wil require a Canva Pro account. There is a free trial available for Canva Pro.

• A domain. You can purchase a domain through Squarespace, or if you sign up for an annual Squarespace hosting plan, you may be entitled to a free domain for one year. You can also purchase a domain from a 3rd party provider, such as GoDaddy or NameCheap.

It is your responsibility to check each template description , as some may have additional or different requirements.

Functionality and suitability

It is your responsibility to ensure that the template, and Squarespace, are suitable for your business, and meet your needs and requirements. It is assumed that by purchasing your template, you have done your due diligence and confirmed that Squarespace and the template you have chosen are right for you.

Refunds & Cancellation

Please ensure that you review the template demos, features, program requirements, and information, read the FAQs and terms, and choose your template carefully, as due to the digital nature of the product, there are no refunds or exchanges of any kind.

Installing the template on an existing site

During a template install on an existing Squarespace website, I will try to ensure that your existing site and content is protected.

However, I recommend backing up your content before the new pages and site styles are installed on your existing website, in case there are any glitches or errors during the install.

I will not be held liable for any Squarespace-related errors that result in the loss of any content or other damages during the template installation.

Style Changes

During an existing site installation, stylistic changes that you required to match the new template will apply to the whole site, which will mean that although your existing content won’t be edited, the site will look different due to the new style settings.

When choosing an install on an existing site, you acknowledge that your existing content will look different after the new template is installed.
